Athletics

We pride ourselves on the philosophy that our athletes are students first. Beyond winning, Merdinian athletics values teamwork, leadership, and active participation. We welcome and encourage athletes of all levels of experience to try a new sport, enjoy being part of a team, and participate in healthy physical activity. Through athletics, we build school spirit and teach valuable lessons in sportsmanship, integrity, discipline, and courage. Merdinian participates in the annual Kaham Tournament organized by Homenetmen, along with other Armenian schools, and in various inter-school tournaments with other Armenian and non-Armenian schools.

 

Athletics Commitment: Please note that registering your child for an athletic team is a commitment for the duration of the season. Students are expected to attend scheduled practices and games, barring illness, emergencies, or other pre-approved circumstances. In addition to KAHAM, Merdinian is anticipated to join a local athletic league, so some games may take place on weekday afternoons during each sport’s respective season. Sign-up links and detailed information will be sent out via email prior to the programs’ beginning.
