Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Middle School English Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a deep love for literature and writing, capable of inspiring students to think critically, write effectively, and engage thoughtfully with the written word. - Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with grade-level standards and learning objectives.
- Teach a range of English topics including literature, grammar, composition, vocabulary, and public speaking.
- Design lessons that promote reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and effective written and verbal communication.
- Differentiate instruction to support the diverse learning styles, abilities, and interests of middle school students.
- Classroom & Student Management
- Establish and maintain a structured, respectful, and supportive classroom environment.
- Set clear expectations for behavior and academic performance, ensuring students remain engaged and accountable.
- Address classroom challenges proactively and consistently, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Provide regular assessments and constructive, timely feedback to help students improve their writing and analytical skills.
- Student Engagement & Communication
- Cultivate a love for literature and language by introducing students to diverse authors, genres, and writing styles.
- Build strong relationships with students, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing student progress and development updates.
- Act as a mentor and role model, reinforcing Christian values and the school’s faith-based mission.
- Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and administration to align curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current with best practices in English instruction, literacy development, and classroom management.
- School & Community Involvement
- Contribute to school-wide activities, assemblies, and events, enhancing the educational experience beyond the classroom.
- Promote a culture of Christian values, Armenian heritage, and academic excellence.
- Uphold and model the school’s mission, values, and policies.

Requirements
- Educational Background & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Literature, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching credentials or certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, composition, and literature.
- Instructional & Classroom Management Skills
- Proven ability to create engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans tailored to student needs.
- Strong classroom management skills, maintaining a disciplined yet nurturing learning environment.
- Ability to inspire and challenge students, fostering a love for reading and writing.
- Communication & Collaboration
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A collaborative team player who is adaptable and eager to grow professionally.

- Familiarity with Armenian heritage and culture is a plus but not required.
