Board Chairperson's Message:

Dear Merdinian School community,

As the recently appointed Chair of the Board of Directors, I am thrilled and honored to address you all as an alumnus of the remarkable Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School. I spent 11 formative years here and to say this school holds a special place in my heart is an understatement. It helped to shape not only my education but also my character and values as a Christian Armenian.

Moreover, I am proud to share that I am the grandson of the esteemed former Merdinian principal, Mr. Aram Boulghourjian. His legacy of dedication to educational excellence and the Armenian language and culture continues to inspire me.

Today, I stand with the entire Board of Directors in expressing our excitement about the school's continued growth and record enrollment numbers. This progress has been made possible by the exceptional leadership of Dr. Souzy Ohanian and her administration. Under their guidance, Merdinian has flourished, providing our students with unparalleled opportunities for learning, personal growth, and spiritual development.

As a Christian Armenian School, Merdinian instills values that endure throughout a lifetime. The values of compassion, integrity, wisdom, and service to others are woven into the fabric of daily life here, creating an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

Having experienced firsthand the impact of a Merdinian education, I am committed to ensuring that all current and future students have the same enriching experience. Our school's mission goes beyond academic excellence; it aims to nurture well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to our global society.

I invite all members of our Merdinian community, from parents and teachers to alumni and students to the community at large to join us in celebrating our collective achievements for over four decades and supporting the school's continued growth. Together, we can ensure that Merdinian remains a beacon of knowledge, love, and Armenian heritage for generations to come.
